M. Veronica Rodriguez Padron, MD

Dr. Maria Veronica Rodriguez is a Pediatric Urology Fellow with Georgia Urology and Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, she earned her medical degree from Universidad del Zulia, where she first discovered her passion for pediatric urology.

She subsequently moved to the United States to further her training, completing a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Pediatric Urology at The University of Chicago. She then pursued general surgery training at UT Health San Antonio as a PGY-1 and Lincoln Medical Center as a PGY-2 in New York City. Dr. Rodriguez went on to complete her urology residency at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in McAllen, Texas, where she was honored with the GME Legacy Resident of the Year Award for her exceptional dedication to education, leadership, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Her research and academic interests focus on advancing open and minimally invasive surgical techniques for pediatric patients. Outside the operating room, Dr. Rodriguez can often be found rounding the hospital in her signature Texan boots, traveling with her dog Eve, enjoying Zumba, or spending time outdoors.
