Dr. Wolfgang Cerwinka graduated from Karl Franzens University Graz in Austria. He then completed his residency at the University of Miami in Florida. He also completed fellowships in Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, and Pediatric Urology at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Cerwinka’s areas of urologic expertise are pediatric urology and treatment of congenital genitourinary diseases. He is the Director of the Comprehensive Stone Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta which focuses on efficient diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of kidney stones in children.
Dr. Cerwinka has published numerous papers in leading medical journals and contributed to several textbooks.
Dr. Cerwinka was the 2020 recipient of the William F. Meyers, MD Quality Award through his work with the Children’s Care Network (TCCN), a physician-led, taxable nonprofit subsidiary corporation of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This award is presented annually in honor of William F. “Billy” Meyers, “who, throughout his career, has embodied the essence of what a truly good physician should be: caring, knowledgeable, data-driven, empathetic, and dedicated to improving care and the lives of his patients.”
Dr. Cerwinka has staff privileges at CHOA Hospital.
Dr. Cerwinka lives with his wife and twin boys in Gwinnett County and enjoys numerous outdoor activities.
