On Saturday, June 27, 2020, Georgia Urology’s Dr. Hal Scherz returned to “Lenz on Business” on WSB Radio.
Dr. Scherz practices at our Alpharetta, Marietta, and Sandy Springs pediatric offices.
Not only a renowned pediatric urologist in the country but a business leader in Atlanta healthcare, Dr. Scherz is the managing partner of Georgia Urology and Georgia Urology Pediatrics and has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Atlanta magazine every year since 2007. He was a former president of the American Association of Pediatric Urology and is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Urology Section, Society for Pediatric Urology, Society for Fetal Urology, American Association of Pediatric Urology, American Urological Association, and many more.
Dr. Scherz returned for his second appearance on “Lenz on Business.” He and host, Jon Waterhouse, discussed how Georgia Urology has adapted its business approach in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Despite all of the challenges, I think this gives [Georgia Urology] opportunities. Coming out of this pandemic, we will be stronger than we were before. There are many opportunities that can present themselves to you when you least expect it,” says Dr. Scherz.
How do you continue to take care of patients who are in need of care during a nationwide quarantine? How do you ensure patients feel safe? How do you transition your practice to take care of patients in a virtual setting? These are only amongst a few of the questions Georgia Urology’s COVID-19 task force has needed to evaluate and quickly execute solutions for during this pandemic. As mentioned by Dr. Scherz on the show, not only is the health and safety of our patients an important factor in our decisions, but also that of our entire staff.
