Ethan Wajswol, MD

Dr. Ethan Wajswol received his undergraduate degree with honors in Biochemistry from Boston College in Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

In between medical school and his residency, Dr. Wajswol pursued a year of research in the field of interventional urology on the topics of prostate artery embolization, image-guided biopsy, and focal therapy for prostate cancer.

Dr. Wajswol then went on to complete his residency in urologic surgery at Mayo Clinic Florida in Jacksonville. While at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Wajswol was trained in a wide variety of urologic surgical techniques from leading experts, such as robotic surgery, advanced endourology (including PCNL and HoLEP), as well as multiple facets of general urology. During his residency, Dr. Wajswol actively participated in research, publishing multiple papers and presenting his research at multiple national conferences.

Dr. Wajswol specializes in all areas of general urology, including urologic oncology, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), complex kidney stone disease, erectile dysfunction, and the management of urinary symptoms in both men and women. At Mayo Clinic, Dr. Wajswol received training in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), a no-incision technique that offers lasting relief from the symptoms of BPH with a quicker recovery than more traditional techniques. He is trained to perform many urological procedures, including usage of the da Vinci Surgical System, GreenLight Laser™ photo vaporization of the prostate, Rezūm™, UroLift®, Aquablation® Therapy, laser surgery, sacral nerve stimulation, vasectomy, and a variety of implants.

Dr. Wajswol has staff privileges at Piedmont Cartersville Hospital.

Dr. Wajswol, a Califon, New Jersey native, lives in Marietta with his wife, Andrea. In his free time
