Michael Butzen is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in infectious disease, critical care, and emergency medicine. He provides comprehensive, patient-focused care for adult and geriatric populations and is passionate about improving outcomes through evidence-based treatment and collaboration.
Michael earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice through a BSN to DNP program at Augusta University, following a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Regents University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Georgia. Before joining Georgia Urology, he practiced in both hospital and outpatient settings, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
He believes in educating and empowering patients to optimize outcomes and live their best life. Michael is committed to creating a positive patient experience by delivering personalized, high-quality care. Outside of work, he is a father, an outdoor enthusiast, and is always busy with new projects or adventures.
At Georgia Urology, Michael works alongside Dr. Stanley and provides care at our Gainesville and Toccoa offices.
