On Saturday, October 9, 2021, Georgia Urology’s Dr. Jeffrey Proctor will host the annual ICA walk for IC/BPS awareness event in Cartersville, Georgia, which aims to raise funds for interstitial cystitis (IC/BPS) research, education, and advocacy; promote awareness in local communities; and create communities of support for IC/BPS patients and families.
Registration is now open for the event: $20 for the in-person walk, and free to those who wish to participate virtually. An exclusive Step Up for IC/BPS t-shirt will be given to those that register for the in-person walk!
Join Dr. Proctor on October 9, 2021, to raise awareness for IC/BPS education and research — even if it’s one step at a time.
Over the past several years, Dr. Proctor has been involved in national research protocols for IC/BPS, serving as principal investigator for a national, multi-center study. The Step Up for IC/BPS Walk further emphasizes his leadership and commitment to the ongoing research and IC/BPS patient community.
The event will take place at Dellinger Park “Vita Course” and Pavillion 3, located at 100 Pine Grove Road, Cartersville, GA. In addition to the one-mile walk through the park, the event will include:
Remarks from Dr. Proctor and a member of the ICA Medical Advisory Board.
An opportunity for participants to meet with healthcare providers, ICA board members, IC/BPS patients, and caregivers.
