During the show, Dr. Scherz and host, Dr. Bruce Feinberg, spoke about the impact the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has made on the healthcare industry specifically through telemedicine.
In the age of various social media applications and telehealth partners, telemedicine can easily become an effective way to conduct healthcare appointments. During the segment, Dr. Scherz discussed the ways in which Georgia Urology has transformed their practice into a virtual one, and how they expect to see the demand for telemedicine post-coronavirus.
Dr. Scherz also took a few questions from callers in regard to general health conditions that can be scheduled for telemedicine appointments. He and host, Dr. Bruce Feinberg, also answered several questions about the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Additionally, Dr. Scherz outlined the parameters that have changed in these past few weeks which have allowed telemedicine to become easier to implement, such as new patient access via telemedicine platforms.
