On June 10th, Georgia Urology’sDr. Brent Sharpe appeared on “The Weekly Check-Up” hosted by Bruce Feinberg on News/Talk WSB Radio. Dr. Sharpe, a urologic surgeon extensively trained in minimally-invasive surgeries, has performed over seven hundred of them.
During the two-hour segment, Dr. Sharpe and Dr. Feinberg discussed breaking news of a recent study, which links erectile dysfunction to a higher risk of heart disease.
Dr. Sharpe stated, “This study confirms and provides further hard evidence to the unequivocal fact that erectile dysfunction is a strong predictor of a man’s health and his risk for cardiovascular disease, such as heart attack and stroke.”
Dr. Sharpe also spoke about how erectile dysfunction may be a necessary screening question for men regarding their cardiovascular health, as men struggling with erectile dysfunction are twice as likely to have a heart attack, stroke, or die of a heart problem than men without the condition.
