Dr. Scott Miller and Dr. Martin Sanda led the first ever Prostate Health Education Seminar on Sunday, June 21 at Turner Field. They discussed the importance of early prostate cancer detection, the use of the PSA test, and advances in both diagnostics and treatment. Nearly 100 people attended this extremely informative pregame event. Dr. Miller and Dr. Sanda were very generous with their time and stayed after the seminar for an extensive Q&A session.
Afterwards there was an on-field ceremony recognizing prostate cancer survivors for the annual Atlanta Braves Prostate Cancer Awareness Day. Several Braves players came out from the dug-out, including manager Fredi Gonzales, to shake hands with survivors.
