Dr. Kristi Hebert began her career as a urologist by completing her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University (LSU). She then graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport, followed by an internship in General Surgery at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. From there, she completed a residency in Urology at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation and LSU. There, she became trained to perform a wide variety of urological procedures and to treat many conditions such as kidney stones, prostate enlargement, overactive bladder, and hematuria.
Dr. Hebert then chose to further specialize by completing a fellowship in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. This specialty treats conditions such as urethral stricture disease, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, male urinary incontinence, bladder neck contracture, scrotal lymphedema and hidradenitis, and adult hypospadias.
Dr. Herbert has staff privileges at Northside Atlanta Hospital.
Dr. Hebert has authored several published research articles and book chapters, and has presented her work at professional meetings throughout the U.S. She holds many accolades and awards, including the Eugene C. St. Martin, MD Award for Excellence in Urology and the Satish V. Karnik Award for Excellence in Urology Practice, Patient Care, Mentorship, and Teaching. She is a member of the American Urological Association, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery, and the Society of Women in Urology.
Dr. Hebert’s enjoyment of her career is also reflected in her hobbies. When she isn’t traveling with her husband, she enjoys refinishing and refurbishing wood furniture. This mirrors her passion for surgical reconstruction by transforming pieces into something with a new form or function.
