Georgia Urology proudly sponsored ZERO’s Prostate Cancer Run/Walk on Saturday, June 20 in Atlanta.
The event was hosted by ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer, a nationally operating nonprofit organization with the mission to end prostate cancer. ZERO is committed to advancing research, and encouraging action in the community by providing education and support to men and their families. Money raised is split between local community and national efforts to save lives by funding research, testing at-risk men, and providing educational resources.
Dr. Miller made opening remarks at the event, providing encouragement and tips to the attendees, which consisted of 55 GU physicians, employees and their families who participated in the run/walk. Georgia Urology was also well represented in the awards category. Our CEO, Jason Shelnutt, earned a 2nd place medal and Alexia Wilson placed 1st in the youth 16-19 girl event.
